Bord Gais Student Theatre Awards Success

Thirty three members of the cast of The Sound of Music travelled to Dublin on Thursday 5th May for the Bord Gais Student Theatre Awards,

They were accompanied by Ms O'Regan, Ms Whyte, Ms McCarty, Ms Brosnan and Mr Walsh. Sacred Heart was the only school nominated for three awards. 

Oral Scally and Samantha Shortall were one of five act that preformed on the day. The girlls gave an outstanding performance.

Samantha was nominated for best performance in a leading role, Orla was nominated for best performance in a supporting role and our production of The Sound of Music was nominated for best overall school musical.. There was great excitement when it was announced that Orla Scally had won the award for best performance in a supporting role
