The sets have been painted, the lights have been dusted off and the microphone s have been turned on. It's time once again for the school musical. This year, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of when Julie Andrews first captivated audiences with this musical, we are venturing to Austria during a time not too long ago where a young woman is trying to become a nun. Maria (Faye Larkin and Samantha Shortall) is not quite ready for a life of a nun just yet and so taking the advice of Mother Abbess (Lauren A. O'Sullivan and Orla Scally) she goes off to become a governess for the seven children of Captain Von Trapp (Karina Lavery and Dearbhla Cullinane). Maria soon brings music back into the Captain's home, and into his heart as well...
Months of line reciting, harmony rehearsals and hours upon hours of dedication from teachers, The Sound of Music is one not to be missed.
