Is it still too early to play Christmas music and decorate? Maybe…but next week I’m all over it. 

Only 4.5 weeks to Xmas hols. Yahoo! 

 Flag of the week : The Pride flag that’s proudly flying outside the main door, right next to the tricolour. 

Best day of the week : Friday. Most of the time it’s Friday. 

Awardees of the week: The Sci Festers, Eacha, Sinead and Grace, for getting all the awards from MTU. Best of luck next week! We’re all voting like mad. 

Equestrian of the week: Alex O Sullivan on Wendy!

Thank you of the week: To Vicky Phelan. May she rest in peace.

Gaeilge ambassadors of the week: The Gaelbhratach girls! Bualadh bus!

Dedicated of the week:  The cast of Oliver, along with the teachers, who came in on Sunday to rehearse. 

Interior decorator of the week : Kevin for updating all the frames around the place. There was lots of drilling and hoovering, but it was worth it.  

Most important day of the week: Last Sunday. World Kindness Day. 

Art of the week (1): All the colourful Stand Up posters around the place. Well done to all!

Art of the week (2): Those 5th year self-portraits. OMG. So beautiful.

Gardeners of the week: The TYs who picked the tomatoes and chillies from the SHSS garden. Oh, and who cleaned the greenhouse. 

Boffins of the week: The 5th year Physics students who went to St Joseph’s for a Science Week demo. 

Pyromaniac of the week: Mr Pegler. Who else? 

Chefs of the week :The 3rd years who made soup from the produce the TYs harvested. 

Upcoming event of the week: The C-FAB event in DeBarra’s on November 20th from 3-7pm. It’s in memory of our beloved Caitlin Buchan and will raise much needed funds for charity. 

Debate of the week :  The TY Concern Debates team who took on Colaiste Treasa about climate activists not eating meat. 

Reminder of the week : Be proud of yourself. Always. 

TikTok of the week: The French TikTok about the house. 

Podcast of the week (1) : The TY journalists interviewed Terri Kearney. So much fun!

Cheesecake of the week : Ms O'Neill's chocolate Stand Up Week cheesecake. Divine. 

Legends of the week:  The 3rd years who made Pride pins and distributed them around the school. 

Handbook of the week: The Survival Handbook for Girls. 

Photographer of the week: Grace Osbourne who took shots of the cast of Oliver!

Victors of the week (1): The Junior Football team who won their match against Bantry.

Victors of the week (2): The Junior Hockey team who won against Mount Mercy. 

Handballers of the week: Mr Cronin’s TYs playing handball in the gym. 

Rugby stars of the week: The U16 and U18 SHSS girls selected to train with the Munster Development Squad.
