National Finals of European Youth Parliament Ireland
In mid-April Transition Years Tola Ní Shúilleabháin, Hannah Rafferty and Kate Crowley and fifth year students Katie Kiely and Aideen Murphy travelled to Galway for the national finals of European Youth Parliament Ireland. This is a model of the proceedings of the European Parliament in which students act as the delegates. The girls spent 5 days in Galway discussing, debating and forming resolutions on issues such as the utilisation of 'big data' , the reduction of recidivism and air pollution.
Tola, Hannah and Aideen have qualified for the International Session of EYP which well take place in different European countries.
